Pretty Much Canada

Today is the day we finally got to go to Niagara Falls! It was a day well spent, if I say so myself.

The cohort met up at 8:00 today to leave on our road trip. The drive there lasted about 3 and a half hours but we spent the whole time talking and napping so it went by quite fast and it helped that the scenery outside was very beautiful!

The first thing we did when we got to Niagara Falls was eat, and we had lunch at the Hard Rock. I ordered a steak which was far too big for my liking and the green beans were a bit strange but overall the quality wasn't too bad.

On our way to the Maid of the Mist. That's Canada!
After eating, we walked to the Maid of the Mist. The wait in line was about 45 minutes but, again, it went by quick. Soon enough, we were on the beautiful boat. As we rode close to the waterfall, we were sprayed on and off, but my clothes managed to stay dry the whole time due to the lovely ponchos. The boat ride was only about 15 minutes which was a bit upsetting but I'm still glad I had the opportunity to visit Niagara Falls.

Once we got off the boat, we had a bit of a bathroom break then went to see a documentary about the falls. It talked about a few people that survived the fall from the falls and even a man who walked across it on a tightrope.

On the boat!
The beautiful Falls (of Niagara).

Everyone on the Maid of the Mist, with another view of Canada.

After the movie, we went shopping a bit for souvenirs then decided to head home. The drive back was just as great as the ride there and we even played a few games to pass the time. We got back to Ithaca at around 9:00 then we ate dinner at a very nice Italian restaurant. We spent a bit of extra time there since we were enjoying ourselves, but made it back in time for check-in.

It's crazy to think that 2 weeks have already flown by and only a week is left of this adventure. I'm definitely gonna try to make the most of it.
